• The Swim Academy Teacher Certification is valid for a 12 month period from the original date that your membership was registered.
• The Swim Academy Teacher certification is only current and covered by The Swim Academy’s liability insurance if you maintain annual certification through The Swim Academy.
• To maintain your Swim Academy Teacher certification, you must submit a renewal application form on an annual basis.

All Swim Academy Teachers and Coaches must have participated in a minimum of two aquatic teaching-specific professional development activities per year and include;  stroke clinics, teaching inservices, aquatic conferences, Teacher leadership training, and ICS TCC Training.  Non-aquatic and/or lifeguard training is not acceptable for recertification.  If you have questions regarding whether your professional development is acceptable, please email info@swimacademy.ca
